It is a wild invitation to dance to the beat of their deviant synthesizer pop, colorful DIY sounds and… toy instruments?!

!UNPREDICTABLE DISTURBANCE!

More rough than previous album ‘The Giggle Gallery’ yet unmistakably Brik Tu-Tok at play, ‘HOT GLUE’ presents a dazzling energetic sound that fits any kind of dance floor in your neighborhood - from club to kitchen! Made between 2022 and 2023, these productions were heavily influenced by the rugged contexts of the live shows and festivals they performed throughout the years (Waking Life, PT and Fusion Festival, DE). It results in a patchwork of sounds ranging from weird synth pop and italo kissed beats to voodoo jazz rhythms and spaced out ballads.

!SURREAL REPULSE!

The roots for the songs in ‘HOT GLUE’ lie in primitive grounds where intuition and DIY ethos reigns. Here, beauty is found in unpolished and imperfect sound bending. In the Brik Tu-Tok studio, right in between racks and piles of self made kitsch costumes, these blueprints grow in effective ways through the use of signature instruments: a Casio CZ101 synth, a distorted karaoke bluetooth mic, a mini harmonica and even a push & pull flute for kids. Add to this a dialogue filled with eccentric figurative speech and these tracks are bound to stick in one’s mind and move any body. Like glue, get them while they are hot!

A weird synth pop anthem for the ages, first single ‘Can’t Control Myself’ is an outburst of an unrelenting flow of energy. As if TURBO RABBITS are in charge of your brain, one’s body feels the urge to move in uncontrollable ways. An addictive rhythm, shrieking DIY sounds, drum lines by Steve Slingeneyer (Soulwax, One Man Party!) and vocal mantras exploding like colorful fireworks. The self conceived video serves as a weird and colorful contemporary take on the 90’s classic video ‘Pump Up The Jam’ by Technotronic.
